Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin Pop music industry has been affected by his international reach. Una Lady Como Tu, his smash hit of 2016, won the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Favorite Song. The album he released as his debut ADN came out through La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution company. The album made it to the 8th spot in the Top Latin Albums Chart. Vaina Loca was a Top Five hit for Ozuna and him in the following year. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel for Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina in the following year. In 2021, he also performed in a duet with TINI's stream smash single Maldita Foto. The hit song La Bachata from 2000 was first released in 2023. Turizo's parents and brothers also played instruments when Turizo was born. Interviews with him have described his involvement in music as mandatory. When he was young, he taught how to play the saxophone, piano as well as guitar. The first choice for his career was to be a veterinarian, but his brother Julian convinced him to study singing with an instructor from a Cuban teacher. The result was learning that he possessed a talent for singing changed the direction of his life.
