Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musically inclined family. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to classical music, old boleros, and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana is a lover of tangos, opera, and all forms of dramatic performance. Her mother teaches her how to sing, however she started intensive singing lessons with Flavio Belcerra at 16 when Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera Tenor. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico kept her in the music field. When she was a student, and a young professional, she performed with numerous chamber ensembles and opera choruses throughout Guadalajara and Mexico City. When she moved in the United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002 she moved to southern California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She is involved with many local initiatives, both as a teacher as well as a performer due to her passion of music and art. Ana is also a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for being able to share her passion and love for old-fashioned Latin American songs with others as she hopes to instill a sense of particularly among the younger generation in order to keep the music alive and alive.Viva Mexico!
